Research overview
Epithalon (also Epitalon) is a synthetic tetrapeptide with the sequence Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly (AEDG), originally developed at the St. Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology for ageing research.
In laboratory models, Epithalon has been investigated for effects on telomerase activity, pineal gland function assays, and cellular senescence markers. It is a research reagent with no approved therapeutic status.
